The Weekly Dose - Change Mastery
"The real courage is in the everyday decisions we make, not just the big leaps." - David McQueen, Speaker
Hello,
Well finally it feel like the year has picked up, a little. I don’t mind sharing the start of the year was a slog, and I was fearing another 2025! Nobody needs that!
I’ve been putting hard learned lessons into motion - remembering to intentionally pause, you are no good to anyone burn out, and remembering to create joy, it’s ok to laugh, even in the tough moments!
Sometimes everything we know that is good for us, and everything we know we need, goes out the window in these moments of tough change, hard slog, foggy days. When we are solely focused on work, delivering, pitching, searching for work. It can be exhausting. So always bring in more Pause and Joy, you will thank yourself!
The Change Mastery workshops are beginning to get bookings. It’s a great reminder to hold tight to that sometimes overused cliche ‘Keep Going’ - but it absolutely is true for me right now.
And I’ve decided to go for it and launch a beta of Change Mastery Day. A full day of exploring change like never before - and by the end of the day you’ll have all the tools to never let change dominate again.
It’s currently beta price - a bargain. Sign up here. If you are navigating change right now, take your place. See you there.
Have a great weekend.

Change is a skill. Most of us were never taught it.
We treat change like bad weather. Something that arrives, interrupts, disrupts, and eventually passes. We brace for it. Endure it. Sometimes embrace it. Wait for it to be over. But what if that’s the wrong relationship?
Change isn’t an occasional disruption, it’s the permanent condition of life. And maybe what we’ve missed is navigating it well is a learnable skill.
And you don’t have to wait until rock bottom. Learning how to navigate all change is a gamechanger. A practicable, improvable capability, built through five steps that shift how you think, decide, and lead when everything feels uncertain.
The difference between those who thrive in change and those who burn out in it isn’t talent or experience. It’s whether they’ve learned to pause with intention, sit honestly in the mess, think with curiosity, act in small experiments, and restart with wisdom.
I’ve written more about the magic of Change Mastery here.
And you can join the Change Mastery Day - if you are currently navigating change (all of us!) this is for you.

Do Radio - On the show this week is David McQueen.
"The real courage is in the everyday decisions we make, not just the big leaps."
On the The DO Lectures Do Radio this week I'm talking to speaker, executive coach, author david mcqueen.
David does not hold back, has thought pokes that make you go 'wait what', and often says what needs to be said. If you need a speaker to bring the vibe to your conference, it’s David. So I was looking forward to this. And he didn’t disappoint!
One of those thought worms that lingers well after a conversation was about the importance of everyday decisions. Sounds straight forward but when you think about it, how many times do we just go with something because its always that way, or its convenient - not because its the best most considered choice. This vibe often present in the humble supermarket shop! So as well as these moments of 'oh'! David shares his door opening moments, how momentum started by backing himself and a TV show, but how that nearly didn't because of good old internal voice.
What also resonated was - it’s not just about being fearless, it’s about daring to be vulnerable, embracing discomfort, and to accept that the courage to make hard decisions is what defines us.
Whether it's choosing to speak up, take a new risk, or just be true to ourselves, bravery is often about the small, relentless choices we face daily. Maybe that's the point. Courage isn't reserved for the extraordinary moments, it lives in those everyday moments of choice. And that's more important.
Go and listen and let me know your thoughts.
